Abstract: A method comprising: transmitting, by a first electronic device, a discovery request message according to an internet protocol (IP) address of the first electronic device; receiving, by the first electronic device, a response to the discovery request message that is transmitted by a second electronic device according to an IP address of the second electronic device; and establishing a Tunneled Direct Link Setup (TDLS) channel with the second electronic device when the response to the discovery request message is received from the second electronic device.
