The method includes outputting a display window comprising at least one or more objects for executing one or more applications on a terminal window, receiving a user input that selects the at least one or more objects and moves the selected at least one or more objects to a region excluding the display window, generating an application group comprising at least one or more applications corresponding to the selected at least one or more objects according to the received user input, and outputting a tab window indicating the generated application group to the terminal window.

A method and an apparatus for converting and displaying execution screens of a plurality of applications included a device in which the plurality of applications are provided. The method includes displaying an execution screen of a first application from among the plurality of applications, receiving an external input corresponding to the first application, generating a list of the plurality of applications according to the external input, selecting a second application from among the plurality of applications by using the list, and displaying an execution screen of the second application.

An example method for controlling a display device includes displaying an execution screen of an application which is divided into a plurality of regions; extracting source information related to a region, from among the plurality of regions, to be transmitted to a peripheral device; and transmitting the extracted source information to the peripheral device. Accordingly, the display device can more efficiently provide multi-UI services between a plurality of peripheral devices.

A method of displaying a plurality of pages on a screen of a terminal is provided. The method includes detecting a user's gesture that requests movement of the plurality of pages, identifying a movement mode relating to the movement of the plurality of pages, and moving and displaying a first page displayed on the screen and a second page connected to the first page displayed on the screen according to the identified movement mode, wherein the movement mode is one of a discrete mode and a continuous mode.

The method for controlling a display device according to the present invention comprises the steps of: displaying an execution screen of an application which is divided into a plurality of regions; extracting source information related to a region, from among the plurality of regions, to be transmitted to a peripheral device; and transmitting the extracted source information to the peripheral device. The electronic device which is included in a home network, the device includes a sensor, a communicator comprising communication circuitry configured to communicate with an external device which is included in the home network, and a processor configured to control the communication circuitry, to encrypt first data which is initially acquired from the sensor with a first encryption algorithm and transmit the encrypted standard data to the external device, determine third data based on the first data and a second data in response to the second data being acquired from the sensor after the first data is acquired, to encrypt the third data with a second encryption algorithm and to transmit the encrypted third data to the external device.
