Abstract: An image sensor includes a first substrate having a first side and a second side opposite each other, and including a pixel array region having plurality of active regions disposed at the first side, a shallow trench isolation structure disposed at the first side of the first substrate and isolating each of the plurality of active regions, a plurality of floating diffusion regions disposed at the plurality of active regions of the first substrate, and a floating diffusion region connector connecting the plurality of floating diffusion regions with each other. The floating diffusion region connector is buried in the shallow trench isolation structure and an upper surface of the floating diffusion region connector is lower than an upper surface of the shallow trench isolation structure.

Abstract: Disclosed is an image sensor including first and second pixels adjacent along a first direction, a first micro lens disposed on the first and second pixels, a first pixel isolation structure disposed outside the first and second pixels and penetrating from a first surface of a substrate to a second surface of the substrate opposite the first surface of the substrate, and a first floating diffusion region disposed at the first pixel and the second pixel and adjacent to the first surface of the substrate. The first floating diffusion region may not overlap the first pixel isolation structure along a height direction perpendicular to the first and second surfaces of the substrate, and the first floating diffusion region between the first pixel and the second pixel may be disposed at a position corresponding to a center portion of the first micro lens along an optical axis direction.

Abstract: An image sensor includes; a pixel array including pixels arranged in a first direction and a second direction, wherein the pixels includes a first normal pixel and a first auto focus (AF) pixel adjacent in the first direction, and a second AF pixel and a second normal pixel adjacent in the first direction. Each of the first AF pixel and the second AF pixel includes at least two photodiodes, each of the first normal pixel and the second normal pixel has a quadrangular shape, a first length of the first AF pixel in the first direction is greater than a first length of the first normal pixel in the first direction, and a first length of the second AF pixel in the first direction is greater than a first length of the second normal pixel in the first direction.
