The present invention relates to a motion input device for portable terminal and an operation method using the same. A motion input device of a portable terminal of the present invention includes a sensor unit configured to collect a sensor signal from at least one sensor; an operation recognition unit configured to generate a motion signal corresponding to an operation of portable terminal based on the sensor signal; a scenario preparation unit configured to generate an input scenario based on at least one motion signal; and a scenario mapping unit configured to detect, in a scenario database, a standards scenario corresponding to the input scenario, and to generate an input signal corresponding to the standards scenario.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a camera, a display, a memory, a location positioning circuitry, and at least one processor operatively coupled to the camera, the display, the memory, and the location positioning circuitry, wherein the at least one processor may determine a first position and a first direction of a user through the location positioning circuitry, obtain surrounding information about the first position from a map database, generate scan request information including a reference target from the map database on the basis of the surrounding information, display a capture guide on the display such that a capture target corresponding to the reference target is captured with the camera by using the scan request information, determine a second position and a second direction by using the capture target and the reference target, and display the second position and the second direction on the display.

The one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the electronic device to obtain information on a second image comprising a plurality of visual objects and changed from a first image, transmit, to a server, the information on the second image, receive information on a three-dimensional (3D) model for a space comprising the plurality of external objects and information on a reference image, obtain a third image by removing, from the second image, at least one visual object among the plurality of visual objects, identify at least one feature point based on a comparison between the reference image and the third image, identify a pose of a virtual camera, and identify content superimposed on the first image.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a camera that collects image data, a communication circuit that performs communication with an external device, a memory, and a processor. The processor obtains first position information about the electronic device, stores first feature point information based on the first position information, obtains an image via the camera, recognizes an object from the image, extracts second feature point information about the recognized object, and calculates second position information of higher accuracy than the first position information based on comparing the first feature point information with the second feature point information.
