Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a system are disclosed, which can reduce power consumption of an electronic device by allowing a communication relay device, to which the electronic device is connected, to perform an operation of the electronic device corresponding to waking up from a sleep mode according to a system timer cycle to identify paging and performing channel monitoring on behalf of the electronic device. A method of reducing power consumption of an electronic device may include: making a connection between the electronic device and a communication relay device; transmitting forwarding information to the communication relay device in response to the connection with the communication relay device by the electronic device; notifying of entry into a sleep mode to the communication relay device and entering the sleep mode by the electronic device; performing channel monitoring for the electronic device in response to the notification of the entry of the electronic device into the sleep mode by the communication relay device; waking up the electronic device when detecting paging corresponding to the electronic device by the communication relay device; and processing the paging in response to the waking-up of the communication relay device by the electronic device.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for an emergency call connection by an electronic device. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a first wireless communication circuit for communicating with a first network; a second wireless communication circuit for communicating with a second network; and a processor, wherein the processor: detects a trigger for an emergency call connection; in response to the trigger, initiates the emergency call connection on the basis of the first wireless communication circuit and the second wireless communication circuit; determines priorities of the first and the second wireless communication circuit; and performs the emergency call connection by using a wireless communication circuit determined according to the determined priorities. Various embodiments are possible.

Abstract:
A method of providing call services for an electronic device is provided. The method may include receiving a call request from the user; determining whether the call request is a request for a call via an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia System (IMS) network; making, when it is determined that the call request is a request for a call via an IMS network, an attempt to set up the call via the IMS network; determining whether the attempt for the call setup via the IMS network is successful; and performing Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) when it is determined that the attempt for the call setup via the IMS network is unsuccessful.
