A context aware service provision method and apparatus for recognizing the user context and executing an action corresponding to the user context according to a rule defined by the user and feeding back the execution result to the user interactively are provided. The method for providing a context-aware service includes receiving a user input, the user input being at least one of a text input and a speech input, identifying a rule including a condition and an action corresponding to the condition based on the received user input, activating the rule to detect a context which corresponds to the condition of the rule, and executing, when the context is detected, the action corresponding to the condition.

The memory is configured to store one or more instructions which, when executed, allow the processor to: establish a communication connection, for screen sharing, with an external electronic device via the communication circuit; determine a first area, which is shared with the external electronic device, in a screen output on the display; identify a second area, which is selected based on a user input, in the screen; and transmit, to the external electronic device, image data of a third screen in which a first screen corresponding to the first area and a second screen corresponding to the second area are synthesized.

Various embodiments of the disclosure relate to an electronic device for providing a user interface for changing a display mode related to displaying of a virtual reality object, and an operating method thereof. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the disclosure may include a display, a processor operatively coupled to the display, a memory operatively coupled to the processor. The memory may store instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to control the electronic device to: display at least one virtual object in a first display mode in which the at least one virtual object is displayed at a fixed position of the screen irrespective of a Point Of View (POV) of the user by superimposing the at least one virtual object on a real object image corresponding to at least one real object, receive a first input for changing the display mode of the at least one virtual object, and display the at least one virtual object in a second display mode in which a screen display position changes depending on the POV of the user in response to receiving the first input.
