Abstract: An apparatus and method for configuring system variables related to load control in an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuit, and a processor configured to identify a traffic pattern for each cell based on at least one of the plural statistical indicators, in case of determining to update a system variable of cell based on the traffic pattern, configure at least one of the plural statistical indicators as a controlling indicator, and update at least one system variable for at least one cell based on the required change amount of the at least one controlling indicator.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for beamforming, and, more particularly, to a method and a device for transmitting a downlink signal by using a two-dimensional active array antenna in a wireless communication system. In order to achieve the objective mentioned above, a beamforming method by a base station in a mobile communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving an uplink signal from at least one terminal; determining directivity information of a vertical channel of a downlink for the at least one terminal on the basis of the uplink signal; and performing resource scheduling and beamforming for the at least one terminal on the basis of the directivity information of the vertical channel of the downlink and channel status information in a horizontal direction received from the at least one terminal. According to an embodiment of the present invention, since a base station can estimate vertical channel information by using an uplink signal, it is possible to provide three-dimensional beamforming to terminals even without receiving the vertical channel information directly from the terminals, and thus the signal quality of each user can be improved and the efficiency of spatial multiplexing in a cell can be increased to thereby increase the total network capacity.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method of operating a base station for interference cancellation in a wireless communication system is provided. The method may include receiving, from a target terminal, an uplink data signal including at least one interference signal generated by at least one interference terminal; performing a primary decoding for the uplink data signal; in accordance with decoding errors, generating a cancelling signal corresponding to an interference signal of the at least one interference terminal; performing a cancellation by applying the cancelling signal to the uplink data signal; and performing a secondary decoding for the uplink data signal to which the cancelling signal has been applied.
