Abstract: A method for an electronic device configured to control a display device by using a watermark is provided. The method includes receiving a captured image of the display device from a remote control device, extracting a watermark from the captured image, acquiring a menu for the display device based on the watermark, and transmitting the menu to the remote control device for controlling the display device.
