Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device identifies, in a state paired with a first external device providing content data, an occurrence of event for pairing with a second external device; releases the pairing with the first external device and performs the pairing with the second external device; sets up the electronic device as a primary device for pairing with the first external device; transmits information about the primary device to the first external device to perform the pairing with the first external device; and based on the content data received form the first external device, outputs content and transmits the content data to the second external device.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display; a wireless communication module configured to wirelessly communicate in a first frequency band or a second frequency band; and a controller configured to control the wireless communication module to search for a radio signal transmitted from a wireless access point (WAP), to control the display to display identification information included in each of a plurality of radio signals received by the wireless communication module, and to display a message for guiding wireless communication with the WAP in the first frequency band on the display based on the user's selection of wireless communication with the WAP in the second frequency band. Accordingly, the display apparatus may guide the user's selection so as to perform wireless communication in a frequency band for optimal wireless communication based on the quality of wireless communication.
