Abstract: Provided herein is a method for providing information by an electronic device. The method can include transmitting identification information of broadcasting content and feature information of the electronic device to an external device; receiving, from the external device, additional information related to the identification information and the feature information; and displaying the additional information together with the broadcasting content.
