Abstract: Provided are a method and an electronic device for recommending a form of payment to be used by a user when a mobile payment is made. The method includes determining, by an electronic device, whether the electronic device is located at a specific payment place; displaying, by the electronic device, a form of payment corresponding to the payment place on a predetermined area of a screen when the electronic device is determined to be located at the payment place; and performing, by the electronic device, a mobile payment when the displayed form of payment is selected.
