Abstract:
In a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) video communication method and apparatus, first and second VoIP-based terminals store video event indexes and images mapped thereto with respect to state information of a user and terminal, and establish a session using session establishment information defining the video event. The first terminal then transmits a data packet including the video event index, and the second terminal receives the data packet and outputs an image mapped to the video event index of the images stored in advance. Thus, by transmitting and receiving a predefined index alone without transmitting user and terminal states as a real time data-type image, the VoIP video communication method and apparatus prevent unnecessary waste of bandwidth in video communication.
Abstract:
A system for controlling a video is provided. The system includes a terminal which transmits a flush command to an external device to delete buffered data in a buffer of the external device when a search command for moving to a location of specific data of a video is generated while data of the video is streamed to the external device and which then transmits to the external device the specific data located in relation to the search command, and an external device which deletes the buffered data in the buffer when the flush command is received from the terminal while a video streamed from the terminal is reproduced and which buffers the specific data of the video received from the terminal in the buffer to be output.
Abstract:
An electronic device is provided comprising a processor configured to: identify one or more sink devices; for each sink device, generate a respective display data structure; for each sink device, generate a respective data stream, the respective data stream being generated by encoding content produced by one or more applications based on the respective display data structure of the sink device; and transmit, to each of the sink devices, that sink device's respective encoded data stream.
Abstract:
A method of selecting an object by using a multi-touch, by which the object displayed on a screen of an electronic device is selected, is provided. The method includes determining whether at least two touches are input to a touch screen of an electronic device, determining a reference point from touch points where the at least two touches have been input, when it is determined that the at least two touches have been input, tracking a path along which the determined reference point is moved, as the at least two touch points are moved on the touch screen, and selecting at least one object corresponding to the moving path of the reference point on a screen displayed on the touch screen.
