Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method by which an electronic device uses an auxiliary device in order to initially connect and register an IoT device to an IoT service and control same. The method of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: setting a tag device and UWB connection; receiving, through the tag device, basic information about an IoT device from the IoT device; discovering the IoT device by using one from among one or more discovery methods on the basis of the basic information; and registering the discovered IoT device to the IoT service.
