    Abstract: Provided are an electronic apparatus and an operating method of the same. The electronic apparatus includes: a communicator; a memory storing one or more instructions; and a processor configured to control the electronic apparatus by executing the one or more instructions to: collect peripheral device information based on a message received from a peripheral device, by using a first device discovery protocol and a second device discovery protocol; transmit the peripheral device information to a server through the communicator; and receive a home network device list of the electronic apparatus from the server through the communicator, the home network device list being generated by the server based on the peripheral device information.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or 6th generation (6G) communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A user equipment (UE) in a communication system is provided. The UE includes a transceiver, and a controller configured to receive, from a base station, system information including information related to transmission of a random access preamble, and to transmit, to the base station, a physical random access channel (PRACH) including the random access preamble. The PRACH includes at least one primary signal part including a first sequence for measuring a first delay within a symbol, and at least one secondary signal part including a second sequence for measuring a second delay in units of symbols, and a round trip delay (RTD) between the UE and the base station may be determined based on the first delay within the symbol and the second delay in units of symbols.

According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a method of controlling an external device by an electronic device includes displaying, on a screen, a first user interface (UI) corresponding to first UI data received from an external server, transmitting, to the external device, second UI data corresponding to the first UI, receiving, from the external device, coordinates selected by a user using the external device, obtaining additional information related to the first UI when the coordinates correspond to a position of the first UI displayed on the screen, and transmitting, to the external device, the additional information and an execution command of an application using the additional information.
