Abstract: An electronic device and a method for reducing current consumption in the electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a communication processor configured to collect an event associated with operation of an application while an application processor is in a sleep state, and a communication interface configured to transmit a message corresponding to the collected event to an external electronic device.
