Abstract: Provided is an electronic device. The electronic device includes a housing that includes a front side and a back side, a display, an illuminance sensor overlapping at least one active area of the display in a top view from above the front side, at least one processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor, while the display is in operation, to change a brightness of a screen displayed on the display, to identify display parameter information associated with the changed brightness, to set a measuring time of the illuminance sensor, based at least partially on the identified display parameter information, to acquire raw data measured during the measuring time by the illuminance sensor at a specified period, to generate intermediate data using the acquired raw data, and to calculate an illuminance value using the generated intermediate data.

The memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to determine a user's posture through the inertial sensor, in response to activation of a specific application using a function of the proximity sensor; determine a movement of the electronic device through the inertial sensor; determine the user's intent to use the display, based on the user's posture and the movement of the electronic device; and determine a configuration value of the proximity sensor, based on the determined intent to use the display.

The electronic device includes an optical sensor including a light-receiving module and a light-emitting module, a processor electrically connected to the optical sensor, and a housing including a first region, a second region, and a bendable region connecting the first region and the second region, the housing being disposed such that at least a portion of the optical sensor in the first region is exposed through one surface of the first region, wherein a light transmission region is included in at least a portion of the second region such that light related to sensing by the optical sensor passes through the second region in a state in which the one surface of the first region and one surface of the second region face each other according to bending of the bendable region.
