Abstract: An operation method of a universal flash storage (UFS) host configured to control a UFS device includes configuring a turbo write buffer of the UFS device; sending a first query request UFS protocol information unit (UPIU) including reconfiguration information about the turbo write buffer to the UFS device, during driving the UFS device; and receiving a first response UPIU associated with the first query request UPIU from the UFS device, wherein, the first query request UPIU is a request that causes a size of the turbo write buffer of the UFS device to be changed from a first size to a second size different from the first size.

Abstract: A storage device performing a purge operation in response to a replay protected memory block (RPMB) purge command comprises at least one nonvolatile memory device; and a storage controller. The storage controller is configured to control data input and data output of the at least one nonvolatile memory device, track a at least one RPMB of the at least one nonvolatile memory device in which RPMB data is stored, and trigger a garbage collection based on a number of the RPMBs reaching a threshold, and the storage controller is further configured to, based on allocating a log block to which write data is to be programmed, give priority to a memory block corresponding to the RPMB among free blocks over a non-RPMB block among the free blocks.

Abstract: A memory system includes a storage device including a nonvolatile memory device and a storage controller configured to control the nonvolatile memory device, and a host that accesses the storage device. The storage device transfers map data, in which a physical address of the nonvolatile memory device and a logical address provided from the host are mapped, to the host depending on a request of the host. The host stores and manages the transferred map data as map cache data. The map cache data are managed depending on a priority that is determined based on a corresponding area of the nonvolatile memory device.
