Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing information at an electronic device. Incoming call entries and outgoing call entries corresponding to phone numbers are displayed. Based on receiving a selection of one of the call entries, a first option is displayed for modifying prestored contact information associated with the phone number corresponding to the call entry, without displaying a second option for adding the phone number to the address book, and call history information is displayed for the phone number, when the phone number is in the address book. The prestored contact information associated with the phone number includes a name for the phone number. The second option is displayed, without displaying the first option, and the call history information for the phone number is displayed, when the phone number is not in the address book.
Abstract:
An electronic device and method of controlling an electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a communication module; a processor; and a memory that stores instructions to instruct the processor to install a first application operating only in a first environment, install a second application selectively operating in at least one of the first environment and a second environment, grant access to the first application to first data, the first data being generated while the second application operates in the first environment, deny access to the first application to second data, the second data being generated while the second application operates in the second environment, grant access to the second application to third data, the third data being generated while the first application operates in the first environment, and allocate the second application to at least the second environment without a user's input when the second application is installed.
Abstract:
A method for providing a voice service in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is provided. The method includes, detecting a change in the total number of voice calls that are sent and received over a wireless channel of the WLAN, setting channel access-related parameters in the WLAN upon detecting the change in the total number of voice calls, and providing a voice service by applying the channel access-related parameters to the voice and data services.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing information. Phone numbers are stored in an address book in a memory of the terminal. Call history information for a phone number together with a first option for editing of information associated with the phone number are displayed on a display of the terminal, if the phone number is in the address book.
Abstract:
A electronic device and a control method of the electronic device are provided. A control method includes providing a first environment in which at least one application can operate and a second environment having an operation environment at least partially different from the first environment; determining whether a first application among the at least one application is to be executed in the second environment, when an execution command of the first application is acquired; and executing the first application in the second environment, when it is determined that the first application is to be executed in the second environment.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for performing handover by a STAtion (STA) in a radio Local Access Network (LAN) communication system. The method includes sending a Network Controlled HandOver Setup Request Information Element (Ncho Setup Req IE) message indicating that the STA is to perform a scan operation using a controlled scan scheme, to a serving Access Point (AP); receiving a Network Controlled HandOver Setup Response Information Element (Ncho Setup Rsp IE) message including a scan parameter related to a controlled scan operation of the STA, from the serving AP; and broadcasting a probe request message to the serving AP and neighbor APs over channels according to the scan parameter included in the Ncho Setup Rsp IE message.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing information. Phone numbers are stored in an address book in a memory of the terminal. Call history information for a phone number together with a first option for editing of information associated with the phone number are displayed on a display of the terminal, if the phone number is in the address book.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing information. Phone numbers are stored in an address book in a memory of the portable electronic device. Call history information for a phone number is displayed on a display of the portable electronic device together with a first option for editing of information associated with the phone number if the phone number is in the address book.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing incoming and outgoing call information in a mobile communication terminal. A display unit displays detailed incoming/outgoing call information integrated for a particular phone number. A memory stores an incoming/outgoing call list according to an incoming/outgoing event. A controller controls an operation for adding the detailed incoming/outgoing call information to an associated phone number item of the incoming/outgoing call list when the incoming/outgoing call event occurs, and controls an operation for displaying the detailed incoming/outgoing call information integrated for the particular phone number selected from among phone numbers of the incoming/outgoing call list. The detailed incoming/outgoing call information mapped to the same phone number can be viewed at one time by integrating and providing the incoming/outgoing call information.
Abstract:
A portable terminal is capable of managing data. The portable terminal includes a controller, a display, a memory and a data management unit. The data management unit can sort pre-stored data in the memory as keyword-related data. The data management unit also can sort the pre-stored data depending on frequency of user's use, and outputting, to the display, the sorted data by layer.
