    摘要： Method and system for migrating information from a source storage to a destination storage is provided. The method includes (a) receiving a migration request to migrate information from the source storage to the destination storage; wherein a router receives the migration request; (b) placing a reservation on the source storage such that no other system can write to the source storage, once the migration of information from the source storage to the destination storage is initiated; wherein the router sends a reservation request to a system that manages the source storage and the system grants the reservation request to the router; (c) migrating information from the source storage to the destination storage, while the reservation is placed on the source storage; and (d) releasing the reservation after migration is completed in step (c).

The method includes selecting the source storage device for migrating information from; selecting a destination storage device and concluding upon validation that the destination storage device is configured to operate as a thin provisioned storage device for storing information; and reading information from the source storage device and if the read information is zero, then reading a corresponding segment of the destination storage device and if non-zero information is read from the corresponding segment, then setting an indicator for indicating that the destination storage device is not configured as the thin provisioned storage device.

    摘要： A computerized system allows intercommunication of patients with respect to the treatment of their diseases. This system includes an electronic medical record database providing electronic medical records of a given set of patients as developed by healthcare professionals and linked to an anonymous identifier for each patient and a set of terminal devices accessible to the patients allowing for the electronic exchange of information through a display and data input device. A server system connects the anonymous medical record database and the terminal devices and executes a stored program to: (1) allow an authenticated connection by a given patient to the server system through a terminal device and associate the connection with an anonymous identifier; (2) permit authoring by the given patient of a patient site viewable on a terminal device incorporating medical records from the anonymous medical record database associated with the anonymous identifier; and (3) identify to the given patient other patient sites for other patients having shared medical conditions according to a predetermined clustering of data of the anonymous medical record database.
