摘要： An apparatus generates additional data used to check whether an encoded digital image is changed or not. The apparatus includes a calculation unit and a recording unit. The calculation unit (a) performs a predetermined calculation using the encoded digital image and confidential information and (b) generates the additional data by applying a one-way function to a result of the predetermined calculation. The recording unit records both the encoded digital image and the additional data on a recording medium. The confidential information includes (a) first information unique to the apparatus, and (b) second information unique to an external apparatus connected to the apparatus.

摘要： An image verification system includes an image input apparatus, image verification apparatus, and database apparatus. The image input apparatus generates verification information for image data by using a private key and adds the verification information and predetermined information unique to the image input apparatus to the image data. The image verification apparatus verifies that the image data has been altered or not by using the verification information and a public key corresponding to the private key. The database apparatus stores the public key in association with the predetermined information in the a storage unit and provides the public key to the image verification apparatus.

摘要： An image verification system includes an imaging device and a first image verification device. The imaging device has an image generating unit which generates image data, and a first verification data generating unit which generates first verification data using the image data and common information. In the first image verification device, a first verification unit verifies whether or not the image data is modified using the image data, the first verification data, and the common information. If it is verified by the first verification unit the image data is not modified, an embedding unit embeds watermark data to detect a modified portion of the image data in order to generate watermarked image data. A second verification data generating unit generates second verification data using the watermarked image data and secret information.

The information processing device includes a card processing section that communicates with an IC chip of an IC card (card IC chip), and when security is satisfied between the information processing device and the card IC chip, performs information processing function of the card IC chip. Authentication processing between an IC chip (terminal IC chip) of the portable terminal and the card IC chip is performed through the card processing section, and secure communication is provided between the terminal IC chip and the card IC chip through the card processing section when the authentication processing is successful. Information input on the portable terminal is transmitted to the card IC chip through the secure communication. 摘要： A digital signature generating apparatus generates a digital signature of digital data. The digital signature generating apparatus includes a receiving unit, the secret key changing unit and a digital signature generating unit. The receiving unit receives one of a first command and a second command. The first command includes information indicating one of a plurality of secret keys, and the plurality of secret keys are included in the digital signature generating apparatus. The secret key changing unit changes a secret key used by the digital signature generating apparatus to a secret key specified by the first command, if the first command is received by the receiving unit. The digital signature generating unit generates the digital signature of the digital data from a hash value extracted from the second command, if the second command is received by the receiving unit.
