    摘要: An object of the invention is to obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity, high image quality, high stability and high resolution. A charge generating layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains, as a charge generating substance, a crystalline titanyl phthalocyanine composition exhibiting, in an X-ray diffraction spectrum of a CuK&agr; characteristic X-ray (wavelength: 1.5418 Å), at least four diffraction peaks at Bragg angles (2&thgr;±0.2°) of 10.0° or lower, and a diffraction peak at a Bragg angle of 27.2° having an intensity smaller than the maximum diffraction intensity of the four diffraction peaks, or a lowly crystalline titanyl phthalocyanine composition exhibiting a diffraction peak having the maximum diffraction intensity at a Bragg angle (2&thgr;±0.2°) of 27.3°. A charge transporting layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains, as a charge transporting substance, a bisamine compound.

A photosensitive layer formed on a conductive support of a photoreceptor contains crystalline oxotitanylphthalocyanine having major peaks in an X-ray diffraction spectrum at Bragg angles (2&thgr;±0.2°) of 7.3°, 9.4°, 9.6°, 11.6°, 13.3°, 17,9°, 24.1° and 27.2°, wherein a peak bundle formed by overlapping the peaks at 9.4° and 9.6° is the largest peak, and the peak at 27.2° is the secondary largest peak as a charge generating substance. Furthermore, it contains a bisamine compound, an N,N′-bisenamine compound, a styryl compound, an amine-hydrazone compound, a benzofuran-bishydrazone compound, a bisenamine compound, a benzofuran-bishydrazone compound or a benzofuran-bis-cyclic hydrazone compound represented by the particular structural formulae as a charge transporting substance.

    摘要: A fixing apparatus used in an image forming apparatus has a fixing member for fixing toner on paper and a pressure member making contact therewith to form in between a nip through which paper is passed. The fixing member has a support member formed of a ferromagnetic material and a heating layer formed adjacent thereto in the form of a thin layer of a non-magnetic, electrically conductive material. When a high-frequency electric current is passed through an exciting coil that is combined with the fixing member, the fixing member produces a high-frequency magnetic field, thereby produces induced eddy currents in the heating layer of the fixing member, thereby produces Joule's heat in the heating layer, and thereby heats the fixing member. A leaking magnetic flux is absorbed by the support member of the ferromagnetic member, and thus has reduced influence on metal parts located around the fixing apparatus.

    摘要: A fixing device 100 includes a fixing belt 102, a heat source 105, a support member 104, a pressure roller 103, and a reinforcing member 106. The fixing belt 102 has a metal sleeve. The heat source 105 is provided within the fixing belt 102. The support member 104 has a contact surface 104a that is in sliding contact with the inside surface of the fixing belt 102. The pressure roller 103 forms a nip with the bottom surface 104a between which the fixing belt 102 is sandwiched and pressed. The pressure roller 103 drives the fixing belt 102 to rotate. The reinforcing member 106 has a surface contacting the support member 104 on which a plurality of irregularities is formed. The reinforcing member 106 is positioned on a side opposite the support member to the bottom surface 104a, and receives a pressure force applied by the pressure roller 103.
