摘要: A plan structure and its applications in the upstream oil and gas industry are disclosed. The plan defines logical, sequential and conditional interrelationships between events in the plan, so that a controller can carry out the plan in a flexible and time-independent manner to complete the sequenced events. The definition of the logical, sequential and conditional interdependencies permits flexibility in how the controller uses the time and resources available to it so that the plan directs the controller in a non-prescriptive manner, allowing greater flexibility in plan execution and reducing the necessity for re-planning to occur when changes in the world or environment in which the controller executes the plan are detected.

For example, a computing device may be communicatively coupled to equipment; include a first-level component having a first-level planner component that generates a first-level plan associated with an operation using the equipment; and include second-level components, each associated with respective equipment and each including a second-level planner component that generates a second-level plan based on the first-level plan, wherein the second-level plan has instructions to perform a portion of the operation, and each second-level component instructs each respective equipment to execute a respective second-level plan.

摘要: A recursive structure of inference rules is disclosed that enables translation of sensed data into high level predicates, e.g. to authorize the starts and ends of actions and detect violation of invariants, hence enabling coordination at different levels and/or across different domains at the same level within a multi-domain architecture. In embodiments, a processor may receive a condition configured to authorize an action of a system having equipment; identify a rule as a potential supporter of the condition in response to determining that the rule is associated with the condition; infer an implicant of the rule to be true when prerequisites of an antecedent of the rule are determined to be true; activate the rule in response to determining that the antecedent is true, wherein a validity of the condition is based on activation of the rule; and instruct the equipment to perform the action based on the validity of the condition.

摘要: Systems and methods facilitate wellbore planning and cleaning operations, and generally relate to use of a planning system that interfaces with a simulator. The planner and simulator interact, via the interface, to evaluate various wellbore plans and the effects of the plans on cuttings accumulation, cuttings transport, wellbore geometry, or other borehole conditions. The cost, risk, time, or other associated outcomes of the plans can be compared and evaluated and selected. The plan is then implemented. Planning can continue in substantially real-time to continue modifying the plan to provide a desired balance of outcomes.
