Abstract:
A method for sampling a downhole formation fluid includes pumping formation fluid into the flowline of a downhole sampling tool, measuring a saturation pressure of the formation fluid in the flowline while pumping, and adjusting the pumping rate such that the fluid pressure in the flowline remains within a predetermined threshold above the measured saturation pressure.

Abstract:
A method is disclosed in which an electrical conductivity of a treatment fluid is measured with one or more sensor at various instants of time. The method is further performed by generating one or more signals indicative of the electrical conductivity of the treatment fluid and transmitting the one or more signals to a computer system. The method is further performed by analyzing the one or more signals to determine a phase change in the treatment fluid based upon a positive or negative change in the electrical conductivity of the treatment fluid from a predetermined electrical conductivity range.
