Abstract: It is disclosed a motor thermal protection device and operation method thereof. The motor thermal protection device utilizes a power supply of a motor for power supplying and comprises: a capacitor timing circuit, configured to time after the motor is powered off; a power-off time determining unit, configured to perform a reading operation of reading an output voltage of the capacitor timing circuit after the motor is powered on, and determine a power-off time from when the motor is powered off to when the motor is powered on according to the output voltage; and a heat accumulation calculating unit, configured to calculate a remaining heat accumulation when the motor is powered on according to the power-off time and a heat accumulation when the motor is powered off.

Abstract: A motor protector and a method for operating the same. The motor protector includes: a power supply unit adapted to receive electric power from power supply lines of a motor to power the motor protector; a measuring unit adapted to measure electric parameters of the motor; and a controller configured to at least perform steps of: receiving from the measuring unit the electric parameters; determining, based on the electric parameters, whether the motor experiences a first failure related to overheating of the motor; enabling, in accordance with determination of the first failure of the motor, the power supply unit to power a closing mechanism of the motor protector after a predetermined time, thereby closing the closing mechanism to power the motor by the power supply lines; determining, based on the electric parameters, whether the motor experiences a second failure different from the first failure; and enabling, in accordance with determination of the second failure of the motor, the power supply unit to stop powering the closing mechanism. Hence, the motor protector can discriminate types of the motor failures and adopt corresponding measures for different failures.

Abstract: A system architecture of a fast transfer switch is provided, which includes a main power loop configured to be connected to at least two power supplies, transfer between the at least two power supplies, and output an AC signal; a first parallel bypass module configured to output an AC signal, the first parallel bypass module including an independent power supply; the main controller is configured to, in response to detecting the abnormality of the first power supply of the at least two power supplies, adjust the AC signal output by the first parallel bypass module during the transfer of the main power loop between the at least two power supplies, so as to transfer from the first power supply outputting the AC signal via the main power loop to the second power supply of the at least two power supplies outputting the AC signal via the main power loop.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a power source transfer circuit for switching among a plurality of power sources to supply power to a load. The power source transfer circuit includes a first switch, a second switch and a bypass switch, wherein one of the plurality of power sources supplies power to the load via the first switch and the second switch, and wherein the bypass switch is connected in parallel to the second switch on a neutral line and is configured to control neutral overlapping duration during switching among the plurality of power sources. The power source transfer circuit including a bypass switch provided by the present disclosure can reduce the neutral overlapping duration to microseconds during power source transfer, so as to realize fast and reliable response.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a driving apparatus for a reclosing apparatus and a driving method thereof. The driving apparatus comprises a first energy storage unit, a timing unit, a control unit, and a first power supply unit, a second energy storage unit and a driving unit. The timing unit outputs a first enable signal; the control unit outputs a second enable signal or a third enable signal; the first power supply unit enables the second energy storage unit to receive the power when receiving the second enable signal, and enables the second energy storage unit to discharge when receiving the third enable signal; the second energy storage unit receives and stores the power via the first power supply unit; and the driving unit provides the power stored in the first energy storage unit to the reclosing apparatus when a predetermined condition is satisfied.
