摘要: A power tool includes a housing, a motor positioned within the housing, an output shaft driven by the motor, the output shaft configured to be coupled to an accessory for operation thereof, a sensing circuit configured to detect, during operation of the power tool, an operating characteristic of the motor, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive a signal from the sensing circuit representing the operating characteristic of the motor, compare the operating characteristic of the motor to a first predetermined threshold, and in response to the operating characteristic exceeding the predetermined threshold, perform a loss of control check on the power tool. Performing the loss of control check includes comparing a detected motion of the power tool to a second predetermined threshold, and tripping loss of control functionality based on whether the detected motion of the power tool exceeds the second predetermined threshold.

摘要: A control circuit is applied to a system provided with a rotary electric machine, a power converter electrically connected to a winding of the rotary electric machine, a power source, a cutoff switch provided on an electrical path that connects the power source and the power converter, and a storage unit. The control circuit is provided with a failure determination unit that determines whether a failure occurs in the system and a regeneration prevention unit that prevents a power regeneration, where a current flows from a rotary electric machine side towards a storage unit side, from occurring. In the case where the failure determination unit determines that a failure occurs in the system, the cutoff switch is turned OFF after the regeneration prevention unit prevents an occurrence of the power regeneration.

摘要: A motor drive system includes an inverter comprising a plurality of switching elements on a first arm. A first switching element and a first resistor are connected in series between a DC input and an arm midpoint, and a second switching element and a second resistor are connected in series between the midpoint and ground. A signal conditioning circuit acts a sensor for the system and has first and second inputs. The first input is connected to the first leg between the first switching element and the first resistor, and the second input is connected to the first leg between the second resistor and the second switching element. The signal conditioning circuit can be the only current sensor connected to the arm and can be driven by the same power supply used to control the switching elements.

摘要: In a control circuit for a power converter applicable to a system including a rotary electric machine, a fail-safe controller performs, in response to determination that there is a failure in the system, a short-circuit control routine that turns on predetermined turn-on arm switches, and turns off predetermined turn-off arm switches. The turn-on arm switches bare one of (i) upper-arm switches and (ii) lower-arm switches, and the turn-off arm switches are the other of (i) the upper-arm switches and (ii) the lower-arm switches. An on determiner detects a drive state of each turn-on arm switch upon determination that the turn-on is instructed for the corresponding turn-on arm switch, and determines, based on the drive state of each turn-on arm switch, whether the turn-on arm switches are switchable to be on in preparation for a short-circuit control routine performed by a short-circuit controller.
