摘要:
The present invention involves new cosmetic, personal care, cleaning agent, biocidal agent, functional food, and nutritional supplement compositions. These new compositions incorporate bioactive glass into cosmetics, personal care items, cleaning agents, biocidal agents, functional foods, and nutritional supplements. The present invention also involves methods of making and methods of using such compositions.
摘要:
Methods and compositions for the prevention and/or reduction of plaque, plaque build-up and/or gingivitis are provided. Bioactive glass compositions are provided which prevent or reduce plaque, plaque build-up and/or gingivitis through the use of low levels of small bioactive glass particles in amounts from about 0.25 to about 10% by weight in non-aqueous formulations. The resulting non-aqueous compositions are effective in dentifrice products and are stable and pass ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards. Moreover, these bioactive glass containing non-aqueous compositions have unexpectedly high levels of antimicrobial activity against oral pathogens.
摘要:
This invention relates, generally, to nutritional supplements which contain bioactive glass. These supplements are useful in both veterinary and human contexts. The compositions of the subject invention can be used to achieve a number of advantageous results including: enhancing the growth rates of young animals, osteogenic stimulation, strengthening the skeletal structure, and treating osteoporosis.

Collaborative editing of electronic documents in realtime is provided. A host serves a client code over a network to a plurality of clients that each employ a browser to run the client code. The client code revises the text document locally in response to user input, frequently sends those edits to the host, receives updates from the other clients via the host, and revises the local text document accordingly. Each client, in some embodiments, stores three variables, one for edits not yet reported to the host, one for edits reported by not yet acknowledged, and one for the text document as modified by the acknowledged edits. Updates from the other clients are applied to the three variables according to certain rules. A composition of the three variables yields a version of the text document. The host keeps records of which edits were introduced by which client.

A method of geographically mapping financial transactions may include receiving transaction data associated with an account and a financial transaction, and mapping an indicator representing the financial transaction based on the transaction location. The mapping of the financial transactions provides the account holder with a visual summary of financial transactions and may be used to detect various patterns or potential fraud. The method may include organizing financial transactions according to a transaction status, and setting a characteristic of the indicator based on the transaction status. In addition, the method may include correlating merchant data with the geographic location of the transaction occurrence, where an invoice address of the merchant data is not the same as the transaction location, and where the transaction location is determined using an address or latitude-longitude coordinates. Further, the merchant data may be associated with a public name of a merchant.
