    摘要: A method and system for controlling congestion control and avoidance behavior of a plurality of heterogeneous network processors in a network is disclosed. The network also includes at least one host processor that utilizes at least one congestion control application. The method and system include providing a plurality of generic application program interfaces (APIs). The generic APIs communicate with the congestion control application(s) and the heterogeneous network processors. The generic APIs communicate with the congestion control application(s) in the host processor(s) in a network processor independent manner, but manage the congestion control and avoidance behavior of the heterogeneous network processors in a network processor specific manner. Thus, the generic APIs allow the control application(s) to be network processor independent and to manage the congestion control and avoidance behavior of the heterogeneous network processors in the network processor specific manner.

    摘要: A fluid dispenser is disclosed for dispensing a fluid from a pouch having a discharge passage that extends along a tortuous path. The dispenser has a dispenser station and dispenser mechanism in the dispenser station. In one aspect the dispenser mechanism comprises a backstop on one side of the dispenser path and a cam operated cylindrical roller confronting the backstop located on the other side of the dispenser path. The roller is attached to a roller bracket which is pivotally attached to the interior of a hollow pushbutton. The pushbutton is mounted in an opening in the dispenser front cover. Springs are attached to the bracket and the front cover which maintain the roller against the flexible dispenser compartment of the pouch. Depressing the pushbutton forces the roller to trap the upper portion of the pouch flexible dispenser compartment between the roller and backstop to initially seal the dispenser compartment at its upper end and further pushbutton action forces the roller down the dispenser compartment thereby causing expulsion of the fluid trapped in the dispenser compartment.

    摘要: The present invention is a method for performing a mass spectrometric analysis of analytes in a complex mixture. In particular, samples containing unknown analytes are analyzed by MS/MS to identify portions of a molecule of interest that has been labeled with a selected isotope. Ionization and detection identify a characteristic isotope shift in real time based on a selective precursor ion scan that in turn identifies precursor masses that also contain the isotopic shift. From the precursor ion scan, precursor masses are identified for further mass spectrometric analyses. The method of the invention is preferably performed in real time such that the precursor ion scan simultaneously identifies target precursor ions and identifies precursor masses for further analyses.

    摘要: A pliable, fluid dispensing pouch is provided which includes a flexible shot-chamber having at least two narrow spaced tortuous fluid pathways each leading to a separate discharge opening at one end of the pouch. The discharge openings are initially sealed closed by the presence of a sealing tab. The discharge openings are unsealed by tearing off the tab. The separate discharge openings are of a diameter suitable to prevent fluid from being hand or finger squeezed out of the pouch once the tear tab has been detached.
