摘要： A card connector of the present invention includes: a housing; a card insertion opening formed by opening at least one end of the housing; and a plurality of contacts arranged in the housing; wherein switching mechanism constructed of at least actuator members and a shutter member is provided in the housing. This construction allows a plurality of kinds of cards of different sizes in thickness and width to be used on one and the same card connector without requiring the cards to have any additional member, by performing a switching operation on such members as shutter, actuators and latch arms. This construction can make a distinction between appropriate and inappropriate cards for use on the card connector by permitting the insertion of appropriate cards and blocking the insertion of inappropriate cards.

摘要： A card connector has a cam lever and an eject member including a cam element and lever guide ways. The eject member can move in a card insert direction relative to upper and lower housings in response to an insertion of the card. The eject member can move in a card eject direction relative to housings in response to a card eject operation. The connector further includes a press member for elastically pressing the lever so that a second end of the lever maintains to position in the guide ways. An opening is formed in the housing to allow the press member to be elastically displaced. The opening exposes only a part of the press member to an outside of the housing so that a distal end of the press member contacts with the housing.

A cam plate is arranged on the insulating housing and is moveable in a sliding direction substantially perpendicular to a mating direction of the complementary mating connector. A lever is mounted on the insulating housing. The lever has a shaft extending substantially perpendicular to the sliding direction and the mating direction and is rotatable about the shaft between an open position and a closed position to move the cam plate in the sliding direction. An elastically deformable bearing section is provided on the insulating housing and supports the shaft. A reinforcement member is removably attached to the bearing section and abuts the bearing section such that the reinforcement member receives a force applied from the shaft to the bearing section when the lever is rotated.

摘要： A card connector can selectively receive one of two IC cards. The card connector has an improved structure of contacts arranged in a card receiving space to simplify the structure thereof and to allow the card connector to be manufactured easily. The card connector at least includes a space for receiving a card and a plurality of contacts that are provided in the space parallel to the direction along which a card is inserted. The respective contacts provided in the space for receiving the IC card include a plurality of contact points that respectively correspond to the respective pads of the plurality of IC cards and that are provided in the direction along which the IC card is inserted. Thus, the card connector can be selectively attached with one of a plurality of IC cards having the same pad pitch.
