摘要: An infinitely variable belt-type transmission for an agricultural machine or the like includes drive and driven pulleys and a pair of inversely variable diameter pulleys mounted on a shaft that is shiftable to vary the diameter of the pulleys and consequently the drive ratio of the transmission. The inner halves of the adjacent variable diameter pulleys are drivingly connected through a cam that exerts a force on the inner pulley halves tending to increase the pulley diameters and thereby increase the belt tension in response to an increase in torque transmitted through the transmission, and the shiftable pulley half on at least one of the pulleys is splined to its mating half so that the shifting movement in response to the torque increase results only in axial motion of the shiftable pulley half.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for manufacture of silver-based composite powders for electrical contact materials. The invention relates also to electrical contact materials made from such composite powders. The process comprises a high energy dispersing process of wet silver oxide (Ag2O) with additional second oxide components in aqueous suspension. The high energy dispersing process can be conducted by high shear mixing or by high energy milling. Preferably high speed dispersing units working at rotating speeds in the range of 5,000 to 30,000 rpm or high energy mills such as attritor mills are used. The new process is versatile, economical and offers access to a broad spectrum of contact materials. The silver-based composite powders made according to the new process yield contact materials with a highly dispersed microstructures and superior material characteristics.

摘要: A self-propelled forage harvester includes front and rear sets of driven ground wheels. The front set of wheels is driven through a transmission including an input shaft driven by a variable displacement motor and coupled to the front set of wheels by a gear train including one planetary gear set, (in one embodiment), and two planetary gear sets, (in a second embodiment). In both cases, the transmission is shiftable so as to establish at least first and second gear ratios. The shifting of the transmission is accomplished automatically by a control arrangement which takes into account the operating mode of the harvester so that a ratio for producing the correct velocity range for harvesting is established when the harvester is in a working operating mode, and a higher velocity range is established when the harvester is in a transport operating mode. Other operating parameters are sensed and used to automatically control hydraulic pump and/or motor displacement, and for controlling engine speed.

摘要: A drive system for use in utility vehicles, such as agricultural forage harvesters and combines, includes a hydrostatic transmission having a pump driven by a main engine of the vehicle and having first and second motors respectively coupled to front and rear axles of the vehicle by way of first and second differential gear sets. The pump and one or both of the motors have a variable displacement determined by positioning respective swash plates through the agency of a lever, in the case of the pump, and by electronic devices, in the case of the motors, the electronic devices acting in response to control signals sent by a control arrangement, which in turn, operates in response to signals produced by pressure sensors associated with the motors and by signals produced by speed sensors associated with output shafts of the hydraulic motors. The control arrangement has a memory for storage of data, such as maximum legal ground speed and the ratio of the speeds of the axles as results from a given wheel size, and uses this information for controlling the hydrostatic transmission such that the vehicle does not exceed the speed, and the front and rear axles are driven so as to produce the same ground speed.

摘要: The invention is directed to a process for manufacture of fine precious metal containing particles, specifically silver-based particles and silver-based contact materials via an intermediate silver(+1)-oxide species. The process comprises in a first step the formation of a thermally instable silver (+1)-oxide species by adding a base to an aqueous silver salt solution comprising an organic dispersing agent. Due to the presence of the organic dispersing agent, the resulting silver (+1)-oxide species is thermally instable, thus the species is decomposing to metallic silver at temperature lower than 100° C. The process optionally may comprise the addition of a powdered compound selected from the group of inorganic oxides, metals, and carbon-based compounds. Furthermore the process may contain additional separating and drying steps. The process is versatile, cost efficient and environmentally friendly and is used for the manufacture of silver-based particles and electrical contact materials. Silver nanoparticles made according to the process are characterized by a narrow particle size distribution. Electrical contact materials manufactured according to the process reveal improved contact welding properties.
