Abstract:
The method for discontinuously monitoring downlink control channel in a user equipment in a wireless communication system includes receiving a discontinuous reception (DRX) Start Offset from a base station to be used for both a first DRX Cycle and a second DRX Cycle, and starting an On Duration Timer at a subframe that satisfies either a first condition for the first DRX Cycle or a second condition for the second DRX Cycle, wherein a first DRX offset used in the first condition is based upon the DRX Start Offset received from the base station, and wherein a second DRX offset used in the second condition is based upon a remainder of the DRX Start Offset received from the base station after a modulo operation by the second DRX Cycle.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for processing a signal of a terminal in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the method comprises the steps of: performing a measurement on a first cell in one or more specific subframes; configuring report information which includes the measurement result, together with an indicator indicating that the measurement has been performed in the one or more specific subframes; and transmitting the report information to a second cell, wherein the one or more specific subframes are configured to have different interference levels from other subframes.
Abstract:
System and method for processing received packets. A QuickNak (QN) packet may be received. The QN packet may include a segmentation and reassembly (SAR) packet. The SAR packet may be delivered to a SAR receiver and it may be determined if there are missing packets, e.g., after delivery of the SAR packet. If there are missing packets, a QN indication may be generated and provided to the SAR receiver. Alternatively, the SAR receiver may receive the SAR packet with the QN indication. Accordingly, the SAR packet may be stored in a reception buffer or delivered to an upper layer, e.g., depending on current state variables. The SAR receiver may update the state variables and determine if there are missing packets. If there are missing packets, the SAR receiver may deliver an indication of the missing packets.

Abstract:
A method of receiving multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) information by a user equipment (UE) in a cell-based wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving information regarding a second cell from a first cell over a first channel, and receiving the MBMS information from the second cell over a second channel based on the received information regarding the second cell. Information regarding a cell that transmits multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) information is obtained from a cell that does not transmit the MBMS information, thereby eventually receiving the MBMS information. Therefore, an overhead caused by broadcasting of unnecessary MBMS control information can be reduced.
Abstract:
Method for reducing call initiation collisions in a wireless communication system includes determining, at an eNodeB, a need to reduce a number of call initiation requests arriving from a plurality of user equipment (UEs). One operation provides broadcasting, by the eNodeB, a notification message to the UEs responsive to the determining of the need to reduce the number of call initiation requests, the notification message including information for facilitating a determination of whether a receiving UE is permitted to transmit a call initiation request to the eNodeB. Another feature includes receiving, at the eNodeB, the call initiation request from one or more of the plurality of UEs that are determined to be permitted to transmit the call initiation request.
