Abstract:
An ignition coil apparatus for an internal combustion engine with a cylinder having first and second spark plugs can reliably detect an ionic current without discharging a bias voltage even at the start of supplying a primary current. The apparatus includes a coil member with primary and secondary coils. The secondary coil has first and second ends connected to the spark plugs through high voltage output terminals, respectively. A first diode has its anode connected to a capacitor, and its cathode connected between the first end of the secondary coil, at which a high positive voltage is generated upon interruption of the primary current, and a high voltage output terminal at a secondary coil first end side. A second diode has its anode connected to the secondary coil first end, and its cathode connected to a junction between the first diode and the high voltage output terminal.

To provide an ignition device for an internal combustion engine which for example prevents a crack from being made in a cast insulating resin or a transformer output voltage control element from being damaged. The ignition device for an internal combustion engine of the present invention includes: a transformer (2); a case (3) that is composed of a case body (3a) receiving the transformer (2), and a high-tension tower (3b) having an opening portion (5); a cast insulating resin (4) that is injected into the case body (3a) and cured and thus insulates and fixes the transformer (2); a high-voltage connection terminal (7) that closes the opening portion (5) such that the cast insulating resin (4) that has not been cured is prevented from entering the high-tension tower (3b); a noise-suppressing resister (8) that is received in the high-tension tower (3b), is electrically connected to the high-voltage connection terminal (7), and controls a voltage generated in the second winding in activating the transformer (2); and a spring (14) that electrically connects the noise-suppressing resister (8) and a spark plug to each other, and urges the noise-suppressing resister (8) toward the high-voltage connection terminal (7).

An image forming apparatus includes plural toner image forming devices. Each of which has a rotating photoconductor, a charging device that uniformly charges a surface of the photoconductor, a latent image forming device that forms an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the charged photoconductor, a developing device that develops the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photoconductor to a toner image, and a developing container that contains toner used by the developing device. A diameter of the photoconductor of at least one toner image forming device is formed larger than a diameter of the photoconductor of the other toner image forming devices. Each developing container of all the toner image forming devices is formed in equal-sized, and a center of rotation of a developing roll of each developing device is arranged in a position upper than a center of rotation of each photoconductor.

Abstract:
An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine with a compact height and width includes an actuated magnetic portion of an iron core around which a primary coil is wound having an axis line crossing an ignition plug axis line of the internal combustion engine at a right angle; and a switching unit which is disposed at an end of the actuated magnetic portion vertically to the axis line of the actuated magnetic portion and intercepts a primary current flowing through the primary coil. This ignition coil can be manufactured at a greatly reduced cost, compared to the conventional ignition coil in which only one of the height or width is made compact, by reducing the required size of the press mold for the case and by reducing the initial investment for the equipment.
Abstract:
To provide a high tension connection portion structure for an ignition device for an internal combustion engine, which may prevent an instantaneous breakdown of the connection even if an external force is applied to a high tension connection portion, may enhance a connection property of the high tension connection portion by suppressing a sliding movement between metal terminals of the connection portion and may be applied to the path of a minute current such as an ionic current or the like, a connecting structure of a high tension connection portion used in an ignition device for an internal combustion engine, includes: a first high tension connection terminal 2; a second high tension connection terminal 4 for electrically connecting with the first high tension connection terminal 2; a locking mechanism 2a provided between the first high tension connection terminal 2 and the second high tension connection terminal 4 for restricting the separation therebetween in the axial direction; and a spring member 7 disposed between the first high tension connection terminal 2 and the second high tension connection terminal 4.

Abstract:
An angle detecting device including a magnetism gap where a magnetic-flux shutter rotates synchronously with a detection subject, a magnetic flux generator provided at one side of the gap, a magnetic-flux detector provided at the other side of the gap, an outlet of the signals from the detector, a frame integrally including the above-described generator, detector and outlet, and anchoring portions mechanically fixing the detector in a housing portion of the frame. In one embodiment, the anchoring portions are a pair of saw-toothed tabs formed by cutting and bending out a section of the plate. The saw-toothed tabs cut into the inner wall of the housing when the detector is inserted. In another embodiment, the anchoring portions are a pair of supporting tabs formed by bending extensions of the plate. The supporting tabs are clamped between a lower surface of the housing and a cover. In still another embodiment, a pair of coupling tabs provided with holes are formed integrally on the plate, and a pair of projections are integrally resin-molded in the housing portion of the frame. The projections passed through the holes are caulked when the detector is inserted.

In another aspect, an ignition apparatus includes: a controller for controlling the ignition of and the fuel supply to a cylinder of the engine in synchronism with the rotation thereof; a detector for detecting misfiring in the cylinder; and mask a for masking the output signal of the detector when the fuel supply to the cylinder is cut off.
