摘要: In a vehicle steering system, in particular a steer-by-wire system, using a feedback control including an integral control unit in the feedback path, the integral factor of the integral control unit is made variable depending on the condition of the vehicle, road condition and preference of the vehicle operator so that the intensity of the steering reaction from the tires that is applied to the vehicle operator can be optimally adjusted. Thereby, the steering system can reduce the stead-state deviation and improve the stability in holding a steering angle both without any substantial compromise.

摘要: Steering apparatus for transmitting a driving force of a motor through a gear mechanism to a rack shaft of a steering system and applying the driving force to steering road wheels in a steering direction. The apparatus has first and second motors. In the transmission of driving forces from output shafts of the first and second motors to the rack shaft, the phases of the two motors are essentially staggered by 180 degree.

摘要: A steering apparatus for a vehicle is provided, which has a controller, a first device for detection of an amount of manipulation rendered to the controller, a second device for detection of an amount of steering of steerable wheels, a control unit for controlling an amount of steering based on at least the amount of manipulation and a third device for applying a reaction force to the controller. The apparatus has a feature that it includes the sensor for detection of a speed of the vehicle and the control unit determines the reaction force by multiplying a deviation between the amount of manipulation and the amount of steering by a coefficient for vehicle speed, which is adapted to be larger as the speed of the vehicle detected by the sensor increases.

摘要: A current detecting apparatus comprises a determining unit which determines whether the electric potential of a first node or a second node is in a predetermined range. When the condition that the electric potential is not in the predetermined range continues longer than the predetermined period of time, the determining signal indicating the damage occurrence is outputted. Accordingly, the damage of the constituting elements can exactly be determined with the relatively simple configuration in a short time.

摘要: An electric power steering apparatus 1 comprises an electric motor 8, a vehicle speed detecting section (vehicle speed sensor) VS, a shifting state detecting section for detecting a shifting state of the vehicle, an engine rotational speed detecting section (engine rotational speed sensor) ES, and a motor control section (controller) 12 for controlling drive of the electric motor 8. The motor control section 12 includes a failure determination section (vehicle speed sensor failure determination section) 21 for determining failure of the vehicle speed detecting section on the basis of a vehicle speed, a shifting state and an engine rotational speed. The failure determination section 21 determines that the vehicle speed detecting section VS malfunctions if the engine rotational speed is equal to or greater than a predetermined rotational speed for a determinative continuous-time and/or a first determinative integrated time while the vehicle speed is zero and the shifting state is a vehicle driving state.

摘要: An electric power steering apparatus includes a control unit 12 for outputting an electric motor control signal VO to control an electric motor 8 for adding an auxiliary steering torque, in response to at least the manual steering torque signal T from a torque sensor TS. The control unit 12 carries out a control to limit a maximum value of the electric motor control signal V0 in response to an electric motor current signal IMO sent from an electric motor current detecting unit 14. The control unit 12 includes a maximum value limitation indicating unit 26 for measuring the number of times of a maximum value limitation of the electric motor control signal VO and has such a structure that conditions for starting the maximum value limitation of the control signal VO are set to be more strict at a first time than those at a second time and thereafter.
