摘要: To provide a method for purifying tetrafluoroethylene by removing, from tetrafluoroethylene containing a polymerization inhibitor, the polymerization inhibitor by adsorption.A method of bringing tetrafluoroethylene containing a polymerization inhibitor into contact with a silica gel containing a metal salt in an amount of from 250 to 100,000 mass ppm as calculated as metal atoms to remove the polymerization inhibitor by adsorption, and the metal salt is preferably a salt of a metal of Group 3 to 13 of the Periodic Table, more preferably a salt of a metal of Group 8 to 10 of the Periodic Table. For example, as the metal salt, a salt of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of iron, cobalt, nickel, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium and platinum may be used.

摘要: A method for detecting a polymerization rate, wherein a polymer composition in a polymerization reaction process is sampled out and can be measured, and is separated into a volatile component and a non-volatile component, and the polymerization rate of the polymer composition is determined using the measured amount of the volatile component and/or non-volatile component, and also possibly the measured amount of the sample. Such method is best suited for detecting the rate of polymerization of polymer compositions. This enables proper quality control of the polymer composition in the polymerization reaction process.

摘要: In the apparatus for measuring optical-axis deflection angle of a headlight, according to the present invention, the optical-axis detecting means (3) detects the optical axis (l") of the light projected at the first location (E.sub.1) from the headlight (7), and the screen box moving mechanism (2) moves until the position of the optical axis (l") coincides with the center of the screen (9). Then, the screen box is stopped there. Next, the screen moving mechanism (10) is put into operation to move the screen (9) from the first location (E.sub.1) to the second location (E.sub.2), the optical-axis detecting means (3) detects the optical axis (l") from the light projected onto the screen (9), and the controlling means (6) makes a predetermined calculation from the information on the optical-axis position, thereby calculating a deflection angle (.alpha..sub.1, .alpha..sub.2) of the optical axis.

摘要: A luminaire includes a light source and a reflector for reflecting light emitted by the light source in desired directions. The reflector includes a first region having a smooth reflecting surface and a second region having a plurality of reflecting surface units each having opposite side slanted portions. Each of said regions is constructed by a multi-layer structure. The structure includes a base member, a high reflecting film deposited on the base member, and a transparent protective film deposited on the high reflecting film.
