    Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a memory configured to store print jobs, a printing device configured to print an image based on each of the print jobs, a detector configured to determine when it is time to execute calibration to correct a printing characteristic of the printing device, and a controller. The controller is configured to cause the printing device to print each monochrome print job stored in the memory prior to each color print job stored in the memory when the detector determines that it is time to execute the calibration. Also, the controller is configured to execute the calibration when the detector determines that it is time to execute the calibration, and to cause the printing device to print each color print job stored in the memory after executing the calibration.
