    摘要: A high precision laser beam scanner is provided which is able to shape a beam generated by a laser, suppress the influence of jitter of a scanning beam due to mode hopping of a semiconductor laser, and reduce aberration of the scanning beam. A beam source generates a semiconductor laser beam, which is diffracted by a rotary hologram, forming a scanning beam on a surface to be scanned. An aberration correcting stationary hologram is disposed between the beam source and the rotary hologram. The stationary hologram is constructed with an object wave and a reference wave, which interfere on a stationary hologram substrate subject so that an aberration of the scanning beam on the surface to be scanned shall be corrected. The object wave is a spherical wave which has an aberration, a wave length shorter than that of the semiconductor laser beam, and an incident angle which is not vertical but is inclined with respect to the stationary hologram substrate. A method for fabricating the laser beam scanner is also provided.

    摘要: An optical pickup for reading out information from an information recording media, such as an optical diskette, comprises a light source for irradiating light beam onto an optical diskette, an optical sensor for detecting the light beam reflected at the optical diskette, and an optical system including a wave plate and two hologram lenses. The first hologram lens diffracts the light beam from the light source, and the second hologram lens transmits the same light beam. On the other hand, the second hologram lens diffracts the reflected light beam from the optical diskette toward the optical sensor, and the first hologram lens transmits the same reflected light beam.

    摘要: A method for constructing and reconstructing a hologram. The hologram is constructed by irradiating two construction beams having different incidence angles onto a hologram record medium to form interference fringe patterns therein. The hologram is reconstructed by irradiating a reconstruction beam onto the interference fringe patterns so as to diffract the reconstruction beam in accordance with the interference fringe patterns. At least one of the two construction beams irradiates the hologram record medium through at least one optical deviation element. The incidence angle of the reconstruction beam is different from that of each construction beam and is arranged to be nearly a Bragg angle at any point of the hologram.

    摘要: Light-beam scanning apparatus mainly used for a bar-code reader in a point-of-sale system to identify sold articles. The apparatus includes a light-beam emitting device, a hologram disk having a plurality of hologram segments with different diffraction characteristics mounted along its circumference and being rotated at a predetermined speed, and a deflecting device for directing the emitted light beam from the light-beam emitting device to one side of the hologram disk in a first direction. The scanning apparatus has a first mirror group including a plurality of mirrors placed in a second direction corresponding to the other side of the hologram disk, each of which mirrors is arranged to receive a diffracted light beam from a corresponding hologram segment, and a second mirror group including a plurality of mirrors, each of which mirrors is placed to receive a light beam reflected by a corresponding mirror of the first mirror group and to reflect the incident light beam to a predetermined space positioned in the first direction where an article attached with a bar-code label is moved. In the apparatus, a light path from the other side of the hologram disk to the predetermined space has a predetermined length to form a predetermined scanning light pattern in the space.

    摘要: In a light beam scanning apparatus using a hologram rotator, a post-hologram is provided for further diffracting a light beam diffracted by the hologram rotator to a direction opposite to that of the direction in which the light beam is diffracted by the hologram rotator. By combining the kinds of wave fronts used for forming the holograms of the holograms rotator and the post-hologram, the light beam scanning apparatus reduces the deviation of the light beam scanning position caused by the mode hopping of a laser diode, and an improved linear scanning of the light beam and/or image focusing characteristic is obtained.
