摘要: A method of coding and transmitting moving pictures includes the steps of coding an extended background image, coding parameters indicative of an image area within the extended background image, coding a foreground picture that is to be composed with a background picture corresponding to the image area indicated by the parameters, coding a defocus value indicative of an extent to which the background picture should blur, and transmitting the coded extended background image, the coded parameters, the coded foreground picture, and the coded defocus value as a data stream to a decoder side. Coding and transmitting of the defocus value makes it possible to defocus the background picture at the decoder end, thereby producing a composed image of the background picture and the foreground picture having natural appearance.

摘要: The present invention discloses an apparatus for automatically detecting television advertisements comprising: a video frame buffer for storing a first group of video frames and a second group of video frames received by a television in which a scene change rate of the second group of video frames is substantially different from that of the first group of video frames; a video scene change detection and calculation unit for reading the first and second groups of video frames stored in the video frame buffer, determining the last frame immediately before the first group of video frames changes into the second group of video frames as a prompting frame, and calculating a correlation between a newly received video frame and the prompting frame; a prompting signal generation unit for generating a prompting signal when the correlation between the newly received video frame and the prompting frame, which is detected by the video scene change detection and calculation unit, is equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the video scene change detection and calculation unit. The present invention also discloses a method for automatically detecting television advertisements.

摘要: A computer-implemented method, system and computer-readable storage device provide functionality for managing location information for planar regions in two-dimensional views of a three-dimensional environment. A request is received for a first two-dimensional view of a three-dimensional environment that identifies a first planar region associated with content within the three-dimensional environment. The first two-dimensional view is rendered and displayed. A request is received for a second two-dimensional view from a second location. A distance and direction between the location of the first planar region and the location for the second view are determined and used to establish a second location of the planar region in the second two-dimensional view, and then use this information to help render and display the second two-dimensional view.
