摘要: Provided is a liquid crystal display device, including: a liquid crystal layer filled between a first and a second substrate; two polymer structures; and a plurality of pixels each including a first and a second electrode, one of the first and the second electrode being a pixel electrode, in which: each of the plurality of pixels is provided within a region surrounded by a signal line, a part of the signal line being formed between adjacent two of the plurality of pixels; each of the two polymer structures, which extends along the part of the signal line so as to sandwich the part of the signal line in plan view and is formed from one of the first and the second substrate toward another thereof, is formed so as to overlap with any of the region; and the two adjacent polymer structures has the liquid crystal layer provided therebetween.

摘要: A liquid crystal display includes: a pair of substrates including at least one transparent substrate; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the pair of substrates; and an electrode group formed on at least one of the pair of substrates so as to apply an electric field to the liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal layer contains at least one kind of liquid crystalline compound and at least one kind of chiral dopant. The concentration c of the chiral dopant is lower than a saturation solubility s thereof. The concentration c of the chiral dopant and a helical twisting power [HTP] of the chiral dopant satisfy a relation of [HTP]·c≧5.5 (μm−1).

摘要: A liquid crystal display includes: a pair of substrates including at least one transparent substrate; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the pair of substrates; and an electrode group formed on at least one of the pair of substrates so as to apply an electric field to the liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal layer contains at least one kind of liquid crystalline compound and at least one kind of chiral dopant. 摘要: An image display device has a display pixel area having plural pixels arranged in a matrix fashion, plural signal lines for supplying display signal voltages to the pixels, and plural pixel selection lines for selecting pixels from among the pixels to be supplied with the display signal voltages. The pixel selection lines include Y-direction selection lines for selecting rows of the pixels arranged in the matrix fashion and X-direction selection lines for selecting columns of the pixels, and the image display device includes a circuit configuration in which the display signal voltages are supplied from the signal lines to only ones of the pixels each having selected simultaneously both of a corresponding one of the Y-direction selection lines and a corresponding one of the X-direction selection lines.

摘要: The present invention provides OLEDs of the top emission type comprising organic light-emitting (LE) elements by preventing the problems such as the widening of the power lines, the reduction in the aperture ratio caused by the widening of the upper and the lower capacitor electrodes and the short circuit between the upper and the lower electrodes caused by the roughness of the flattening layers. Two kinds of the OLEDs are provided. One is an OLED comprising a region of LE layer sandwiched between the upper and lower electrodes is formed on a power line of TFT for driving the pixel. Another comprises a region of the LE layer formed on an electrode of capacitor connected to the TFTs to control the light-emitting element. Accordingly, without forming a flattening layer on the light-emitting layer, there is no electric short circuit between the lower electrode and the upper electrode.

摘要: An image display apparatus includes a plurality of scanning wires in an image display region for transmitting a scanning signal, a plurality of signal wires intersecting the plurality of scanning wires in the image display region for transmitting a signal voltage, a plurality of current driven electroooptical display elements each arranged in a pixel region surrounded by the wires connected to a common power supply, a plurality of driving elements in the pixel region connected with the electro-optical display elements and a plurality of memory control circuits for holding the signal voltage in response to the scanning signal to control driving of the driving elements based on the held signal voltage. The memory control circuit samples and holds the signal voltage while blocking a bias voltage from being applied to the driving elements, and subsequently applies the driving elements with the held signal voltage as the bias voltage.

摘要: In a light emitting display device using electron emitter elements, it is possible to prevent lowering of image quality caused by spread of electron beams. MIM (Metal Insulator Metal) is used as the electron emitter elements and each of the electron emitter elements is surrounded by a conductive barrier (scanning wire). The electron emitter elements and the barriers are covered by upper electrodes so that the barriers and the surfaces of the electron emitter elements have the same electrical potential. The electron emitter elements and the barriers are formed on a cathode substrate. Color phosphors of R (red), G (green), and B (blue) are formed on an anode substrate at the side opposing to the cathode substrate. The color phosphors are excited by electron beams emitted from the electron emitter elements.
