The radio communication device (103) has a body housing element (107) and moveable housing element (109). When the moveable housing element (109) is in the closed position, the moveable housing element (109) covers a portion of a touch screen display (119). A keypad (125) is integrated into the moveable housing element (109) and operable when the moveable housing element (109) is in the closed position. When a user depresses a key of the keypad (125) a portion of the key provides pressure against the touch screen display (119). The provided pressure activates a portion of the touch screen display (119).

    摘要: A method and system for wireless ECG monitoring is provided. An electrode connector, transmitter and receiver operate with existing electrodes and ECG monitors. The electrode connector includes connectors for attaching to disposable or reusable single electrodes. The transmitter transmits the signals from the electrodes to the receiver. The receiver passes the electrode signals to the ECG monitor for processing. ECG monitors used with an electrical conductor, for example wire connections to electrodes, are connected with the receiver, avoiding the purchase of a new monitor. Any legacy ECG monitor, including different ECG monitors, connects with the receiver using the ECG monitor's lead-wires. The ECG monitor operates as if directly connected to the electrodes without the problems discussed above associated with wires running from the ECG monitor to the patient.

The body (106) defines a front surface (118), a first side edge (122), a second side edge (124), a top end (126), and a bottom end (128). The display (112) and the keypad (114) are outwardly directed from the front surface (118). The microphone (116) is outwardly directed from the first side edge (122) and positioned near the bottom end (128). The retractable antenna (108) extends from the top end (126) and is positioned along an axis of the second side edge (124). The rotatable earpiece (110) is rotatably mounted along an axis of the first side edge (122) and positioned near the top end (126). When in a first position, the rotatable earpiece (110) is substantially planar with the body (106) and outwardly directed away from the front surface (118). When in a second position, the rotatable earpiece (110) is outwardly directed away from the first side edge (122).
