    摘要: A liquid crystal display panel includes: a pair of substrates arranged to be opposite each other to sandwich a liquid crystal layer, an upper electrode in which a plurality of slit-shaped openings are provided in parallel in each of a plurality of subpixels formed in a display region being provided on one of the pair of substrates, a lower electrode being formed on the substrate through the upper electrode and an insulating film, and a shield electrode being formed on the other substrate to face the liquid crystal layer, wherein, when the pitch between adjacent slit-shaped openings is P, and the width of the upper electrode between adjacent slit-shaped openings is L, L/P is in a range of 45% to 55%.

    摘要: Provided is a lateral electric field mode liquid crystal device including: a first substrate; a second substrate; a liquid crystal layer and pixel electrodes and common electrodes. A lateral electric field mode liquid crystal device drives the liquid crystal layer by an electric field generated between the pixel electrodes and the common electrodes, a light shielding layer is formed on a surface of the second substrate disposed close to the liquid crystal layer. A coloring layer is also formed so as to overlap with the pixel electrodes. An overcoat layer protects the coloring layer, and an alignment film is formed. An electrostatic shielding layer is formed of a transparent conductive material on a surface of the overcoat layer.

    摘要: A liquid crystal device includes first and second substrates which are arranged so as to face each other with a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween, and first and second electrodes which are provided on the first substrate facing the liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal layer is driven by electric fields generated between the first and second electrodes. A reflective display region for reflective display and a transmissive display region for transmissive display are provided in each of a plurality of subpixel regions. A liquid-crystal-layer-thickness-adjusting layer is provided in at least the reflective display region so as to vary the thickness of the liquid crystal layer in the subpixel region. A gap between the first and second electrodes in a main direction of an electric field in the transmissive display region is narrower than a gap between the first and second electrodes in a main direction of an electric field in the reflective display region.

    摘要: The invention provides a liquid crystal device including: a pair of substrates; a liquid crystal layer having a negative dielectric anisotropy; a pixel electrode; a counter electrode, the counter electrode being opposed to the pixel electrode; a vertical alignment film that aligns liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer in a direction in which the long axes of the liquid crystal molecules are oriented perpendicular to the pair of substrates. The pixel electrode is made up of island-pattern sub pixel elements each two adjacent ones of which are connected to each other via a connection portion having a width narrower than that of the sub pixel element. In addition, the light shielding film is formed, on one of the pair of substrates, in each region not corresponding to the connection portion between each two of the sub pixel elements that are adjacent to each other.
