Abstract: An active part of an electrical machine, such as a rotor or a stator, an electrical machine having the active part, which has a main body and a winding that is surrounded by an encapsulation compound, where the encapsulation compound has at least three regions, where the winding extends through the main body in a slot in a first region, where the winding surrounded by the encapsulation compound projects out of the main body at least in a third region, and which has at least a second region arranged between the first region and the third region in the active part, where the encapsulation compound has a different composition in the second region than in the first region or the third region.
