    摘要: Handover control in a control node, said control node controlling allocation of radio resources in a first set of cells belonging to at least two different Public Land Mobile Networks, said first set of cells including at least a first subset of cells belonging to a first Public Land Mobile Network and a second subset of cells belonging to a second Public Land Mobile Network. Traffic load exceeding a predefined level is detected (504) in a first cell belonging to the first subset of cells. In response to said detecting, connections in the first cell are evaluated (507, 509) to find one or more connections which could be supported by radio resources in one or more cells in the second subset of cells having capacity for handling additional traffic load. Handover is ordered (506, 510) of at least one of said one or more connections to said one or more cells in the second subset of cells.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus in a base station controller (BSC) or equivalent node for sharing a pool of radio transceivers are described. The BSC belongs to a first wireless telecommunication network, the pool of radio transceivers includes first radio transceivers for a first radio base station (RBS) belonging to the first wireless telecommunication network and second radio transceivers for a second RBS belonging to a second wireless telecommunication network, and the first and second radio transceivers have substantially the same geographic coverage. A method includes selecting a radio transceiver from the pool irrespective of whether the radio transceiver selected is a first radio transceiver or a second radio transceiver; and allocating a communication channel provided by the selected radio transceiver to a respective mobile station registered in at most one of the first and second telecommunication networks.

    摘要: In a method and a device for controlling the output power in a Base Transceiver Station adapted to transmit signals over an air interface using a power amplifier for multiple earners, the power of signals to be transmitted in an upcoming transmission time slot are added and compared to at least one threshold value. If the threshold is exceeded the output power is reduced. By implementing a power reduction scheme as set out above the risk for peak power effects is minimized at the same time as the dimensioning may be aggressive. This is made possible because no power will be backed off unless really needed.

    摘要: Management information is determined for both non-drifting and drifting mobile radios being serviced by a cell and/or by an RNC and reported to a management system for further processing. A distribution of drifting mobile radios to non-drifting mobile radios in a particular cell (or for all cells controlled by another RNC) is determined using the number of established radio links in the cell (or cells) for both drifting and non-drifting mobile radios. The distribution along with management information detected for non-drifting mobile radios are used to estimate corresponding management information for drifting mobile radios. In this way, management information for both drifting and non-drifting mobile radios is reported to the management system using existing formats, protocols, and procedures in both the traffic and management systems.
