    摘要: A recording apparatus for copying a digital stream recorded on a first recording medium using a code format compatible with the first recording medium to a second recording medium after the digital stream has been converted to a code format compatible with the second recording medium, comprising: a detection unit operable to detect a plurality of devices that are available for distributed processing from devices connected to the recording apparatus via a network; an allocation unit operable to divide the digital stream at one or more predetermined points on a playback time axis and to allocate the divided portions to the detected devices respectively; a transmission unit operable to transmit the allocated portions to the respective detected devices; a control unit operable to control the detected devices to perform transcoding for converting a code format of the allocated portions to the code format compatible with the second recording device; and a writing unit operable to receive converted portions resulting from the transcoding from the detected devices and to write the received portions to the second recording medium.

    摘要: A system, which minimizes a time delay caused by one device being unable to access a recording medium until access by another device ends, when transcoding is performed by distributed processing, includes a main device transcoding each coded piece allocated to itself from among a plurality of coded pieces of a digital stream, and writing a transcoding result onto the recording medium, in a pipeline. While the recording device is performing the transcoding and the writing, an auxiliary device transcodes each coded piece allocated to itself one by one. Having completed the transcoding of all coded pieces allocated to itself, the auxiliary device transmits its transcoding results to the recording device and has the recording device write the transcoding results onto the recording medium which is a copy destination.

    摘要: To provide a backup management device that deletes a content so as to be restorable in the future while protecting a copyright of the content, in a case where there exists a backup of the content. In an HD recorder, a first information storage unit stores a content, a second information storage unit stores a backup of the content, a secure storage unit stores a hash value of the content. If receiving an instruction to delete the content so as to be restorable, a control unit deletes the content from the first information storage unit. When the content is played back, an encryption processing unit applies a calculation to the content to generate detection information, and the control unit compares the hash value with the detection information to judge whether the content has been tampered.

    摘要: To provide a backup management device that deletes a content so as to be restorable in the future while protecting a copyright of the content, in a case where there exists a backup of the content. In an HD recorder 100, a first information storage unit 102 stores a content, a second information storage unit 103 stores a backup of the content, a secure storage unit 104 stores a hash value of the content. If receiving an instruction to delete the content so as to be restorable, a control unit 113 deletes the content from the first information storage unit 102. When the content is played back, an encryption processing unit 109 applies a calculation to the content to generate detection information, and the control unit 113 compares the hash value with the detection information to judge whether the content has been tampered.
