Abstract: A device and method for limiting peak current draw in an electronic device includes identifying an operational state of the electronic device, and accessing data stored in the electronic device, the data including possible operational states of the electronic device and respective configuration data for maintaining an electric current consumption of the electronic device below a prescribed threshold. Operational parameters of the electronic device are modified based on the data obtained from memory to maintain the electric current consumption of the electronic device below the prescribed threshold.
