    摘要: An amido peroxyacid compound is provided having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkylene, C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkylene, C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 arylene and radical combinations thereof;R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 alkyl and C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 aryl radicals and a radical that can form a C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 ring together with R.sup.3 and both nitrogens;R.sup.3 is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkylene, C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkylene and C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 arylene radicals, and provided when R.sup.3 is arylene and when n' and m' are each zero, R is other than C.sub.5 alkylene;n and n' each are an integer chosen such that the sum thereof is 1;m and m' each are an integer chosen such that the sum thereof is 1; andM is selected from the group consisting of H, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium, alkanolammonium cations and radicals and combinations thereof.The amido peroxyacid compound is useful for bleaching substrates such as stained laundry.

    摘要: Novel bleach catalysts, a method for bleaching substrates using these catalysts and detergent compositions containing same are reported. The bleaches are of the quaternary oxaziridinium salt type. Substrates such as fabrics may be bleached in an aqueous solution containing the quaternary oxaziridinium salt. ##STR1## wherein: R.sup.4 may be a substituted or unsubstituted radical selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, aryl, heterocyclic ring, alkyl and cycloalkyl radicals;R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 may be a substituted or unsubstituted radical selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, aryl, heterocyclic ring, alkyl, cycloalkyl, nitro, halo, cyano, alkoxy, keto, carboxylic and carboalkoxy radicals; andX.sup.- is a counterion stable in the presence of oxidizing agents.

    摘要: A process is reported for the preparation of bis(amidocarboxylic acid) involving the steps of:(i) charging a reactor with an acyl halide and an aminocarboxylate compound being formed from and selected from lactams and aminocarboxylic acids;(ii) slowly adding to the reaction medium an alkali at a rate to maintain a pH between 10 and 14; and(iii) recovering the bis(amidocarboxylic acid) from the reaction medium.The recovery procedure advantageously includes acidification of the reaction medium to a pH between 4.5 and 7. The preferred product of the process is N,N'-terephthaloyl-di(6-aminocaproic acid).

    摘要: A bleaching composition is described that includes a peroxygen compound such as sodium perborate, an oxygen transfer agent in the form of a quaternary imine salt and a bleach precursor. The quaternary imine salt at relatively low concentrations enhances the activity of the precursor. A method for bleaching substrates is also provided, especially a method for cleaning fabrics.
