    摘要: In various embodiments the present invention comprises 2,4,6-trisubstituted-1,3,5-triazine capping agents comprising one, two, or three leaving groups as substituents with any remaining substituents being essentially inert to reaction with a nucleophilic group on a polymer or monomer, or reactive with a nucleophilic group on a polymer or monomer at a slower rate than any leaving group. The invention also comprises polymers or monomers with nucleophilic groups capped with a triazine moiety. Still other embodiments of the invention comprise processes for capping nucleophilic groups in a polymer or monomer which comprises combining and reacting the polymer or monomer with a triazine-comprising capping agent.

    摘要: Polycarbonate resin containing reduced levels of reaction by-products can be prepared by adding to the polycarbonate a scavenging agent having the formula: wherein R1 is alkoxy, phenoxy, benzyloxy or phenyl, and R2 is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C30 alkyl group, C6-C30 aryl group, C7-C30 aralkyl group or C6-C30 aryloxy group and processing the resulting mixture at an elevated temperature and for a period of time such that the scavenging agent reacts with linear Fries products to produce capped linear Fries products, and with residual phenols (monohydric or dihydric) to produce capped phenols and ortho-substituted phenols.

    摘要: The present invention provides novel polymer compositions comprising a polymeric component and a novel organic iridium compound comprising at least one cyclometallated ligand and at least one ketopyrrole ligand. The organic iridium compounds used in the polymer compositions are referred to as Type (1) organic iridium compositions and are constituted such that no ligand of the novel organic iridium compound has a number average molecular weight of 2,000 grams per mole or greater (as measured by gel permeation chromatography). Type (1) organic iridium compositions are referred to herein as comprising “organic iridium complexes”. In one aspect, the polymeric component may be an electroactive polymer. The novel polymer compositions of the invention are useful in optoelectronic electronic devices such as OLED devices and photovoltaic devices. In one aspect, the invention provides novel polymer compositions useful in the preparation of OLED devices exhibiting enhanced color properties and light output efficiencies.
