The control panel is enabled to receive in-bound calls utilizing a second communications format. A two-way voice session is established utilizing the second communications format between the monitoring center and the control panel. The two-way voice session is initiated by the monitoring center.

    摘要: Correct data stored in an overlay memory register is furnished to a processor, instead of incorrect data stored in a fixed memory register addressed by the processor, by providing a mapping memory that is addressed simultaneously with the addressing of the overlay memory and the fixed memory. The mapping memory is connected with the overlay memory and the fixed memory such that the state of the addressed mapping memory register will enable either the fixed memory or the overlay memory to carry out a data transfer to the processor. The states of the mapping memory registers are preselected in accordance with knowledge of which of the fixed memory registers contains incorrect data. When the processor addresses a fixed memory register containing incorrect data, the state of the addressed mapping memory register will be such as to disable the fixed memory thereby precluding it from transferring incorrect data to the processor, and, simultaneously, to enable the overlay memory thereby allowing the addressed overlay memory register to transfer correct data to the processor.

    摘要: An automatic support system for a volatile memory which provides maintenance voltages to such memory upon the interruption of normal operating voltages and which permits the intentional termination of operating voltages with the provision of maintenance voltages. The main power inputs for the memory are applied simultaneously to a primary power supply and secondary supply, the secondary supply providing the required memory maintenance voltages. In addition a battery supply is provided as backup for main power failure. A voltage regulator controlled by an electronic power switch is operative to provide the necessary maintenance voltage to the memory making use of the available supplies in a preferential order of primary, secondary power supply and battery supply.
