    摘要: There is provided a data processing system comprising at least one processing module having at least one processor processing data and a data input/output unit that classifies and buffers input data received from an external medium, applies the input data to a processing module capable of processing the input data among the at least one processing module such that the input data is processed, classifies and buffers output data processed by the at least one processing module and outputs the output data to an external device. Accordingly, a processing module can be easily added or changed, and thus integration and variableness of processing resources can be improved to code with an increase in the quantity of input/output data, costs required to support a new service and upgrade the data processing system can be minimized, difficulty in maintaining processing can be alleviated and capability of coping with trouble in the data processing system.

    摘要: A packet forwarding apparatus forwards packets by hardware implementation in a packet switch system for an internet protocol service. In the packet forwarding apparatus, an interface transmits/receives a packet through interfacing with a data link layer. A bus operator converts the packet received from the interface by a pre-set logic. A header parser parses a header of the converted packet. A network search engine controller receives a parsed result and the packet from the header parser and controls a command for forwarding the packet by interworking with an external network search engine and a processor.

The method for protection switching in Ethernet rings includes: receiving a server signal fail (SSF), an Ethernet lower layer fault signal, a remote defect indication (RDI) for informing a different port about a fault state when a uni-directional fault is generated, and ring-automatic protection switching (R-APS) information for requesting Ethernet ring protection switching; comparing the SSF, the RDI, and the R-APS information, and setting states of the first and second Ethernet rings; determining a protection switching priority level of each of the first and second Ethernet rings according to the states of the first and second Ethernet rings; and performing protection switching on the first and second Ethernet rings according to their protection switching priority levels.
