摘要： A recording apparatus for recording an information signal on a record bearing medium comprises recording means for recording the information signal on the record bearing medium, instruction means for producing an instruction to stop a recording operation, stopping means for bringing the recording operation to a stop in response to the instruction of the instruction means, pilot signal generating means for generating pilot signals of frequencies differing from each other in a first generating pattern one after another, control means for controlling the pilot signal generating means to generate the pilot signals in a second generating pattern in response to the instruction of the instruction means, and superimposing means for superimposing upon the information signal the pilot signals generated by the pilot signal generating means.

摘要： In an apparatus of the kind arranged to reproduce, with a plurality of rotary heads, an information signal from a record bearing medium having many recording tracks which are parallel to each other with the information signal recorded therein and with a plurality of different pilot signals of different frequencies also recorded one by one, one in each of the recording tracks, a plurality of different reference signals of different frequencies are simultaneously generated. A tracking error is detected by using the different reference signals together with the pilot signals which are included in signals reproduced from the plurality of rotary heads.

摘要： An information signal recording apparatus arranged to form a recording track on a recording medium by recording an information signal on the recording medium, in which the information signal is recorded on the recording medium in such state that a first tracking control signal, for effecting a first tracking operation during reproduction, is superimposed thereon, in the case where a stop of the recording track forming operation is not instructed, and the information signal is recorded on said recording medium in such state that a second tracking control signal, for effecting a second tracking operation during reproduction, is superimposed on the information signal, depending upon a timing when the stop of the recording track forming operation is instructed, whereby a position where the first tracking operation becomes impossible on the way of effecting the first tracking operation during reproduction is detected, so that a position of the step of the recording track forming operation on the recording medium can be easily detected.

摘要： A rotating head type reproducing apparatus, arranged to reproduce a recorded signal by tracing, one after another many recording tracks formed on a record bearing medium at a predetermined pitch by a rotating head, includes a moving mechanism for moving the record bearing medium in a direction transverse to the recording tracks; a shifting mechanism for shifting the rotating head in a direction transverse to the rotating plane thereof; a pulse signal generator for generating a pulse signal in association with the moving operation of the moving mechanism on the record bearing medium; a counter for counting the pulse signal, the count datum of the counter being arranged to return to the initial datum every time a predetermined number of pulses of the pulse signal are counted; a timing signal generator for generating a timing signal in association with the rotation of the rotating head; and a control device for forming a control signal for controlling the shifting mechanism on the basis of the count data of the counter and the timing signal.

摘要： A video signal reproducing apparatus which is arranged to reproduce a composite signal formed by superimposing plural kinds of pilot signals of different frequencies upon a video signal one after another from recording tracks formed by the composite signal on a recording medium comprises: a plurality of reproducing heads arranged to trace the recording tracks one after another on the recording medium; a switch-over device for producing the outputs of the plurality of reproducing heads by switching them over from one to another; a reference signal generating device for producing plural kinds of reference signals of different frequencies which are substantially the same as those of the pilot signals; selecting device for selectively producing one of the plural kinds of reference signals generated by the reference signal generating means; a detecting device for detecting the positional errors of the reproducing heads relative to the recording tracks by using the reference signal obtained from the selecting means in conjunction with at least one of the plural kinds of pilot signals; and a control device for controlling the selecting means with the outputs of the reproducing heads not included in the output of the switch-over device.

摘要： The disclosed video signal reproducing apparatus reproduces a video signal from a recording medium having adjacent tracks which carry recordings of video signals and recordings of pilot signals with different frequencies superposed on the video signal. A reproducing head traces each of the tracks for reproducing a video signal. A signal processing arrangement obtains a tracking control signal in accordance with the pilot signals obtained from the reproducing head. A compensator compensates for the effect of the tracking control signal on the basis of the frequency characteristic of the reproducing head in the frequency band of the pilot signals.
