Abstract: A cable connector includes a twin-axial cable having a first conductor and a second conductor within a core of the cable. The cable connector includes first and second signal contacts including cable terminals terminated to the conductors and substrate terminals generally perpendicular to the cable terminals and terminated to a substrate. The cable connector includes a contact holder having a body encasing portions of the first and second signal contacts. The contact holder has a front and a rear, and a top and a bottom. The cable terminals are arranged proximate to the rear for termination to the cable. The cable extends from the rear of the contact holder. The substrate terminals are exposed at the bottom for termination to the substrate.

Abstract: An electrical connector that includes a housing with an interior cavity configured to receive a card. Electrical contacts are secured across a wall of the housing within the interior cavity and are configured to matingly receive corresponding electrical contacts of the card. The plurality of electrical contacts secured across the wall of the housing are the only electrical contacts of the electrical connector. Each of the plurality of electrical contacts includes a mating interface and the mating interface of each of the plurality of electrical contacts is co-planer. Additionally, the housing includes a card slot opening and each of the plurality of electrical contacts are arranged on one side of the card slot opening.

Abstract: A board-to-board connector assembly includes a connector interposer between first and second connectors each having a connector housing holding contacts and having a card slot for interfacing with a circuit card edge of a corresponding add-in card. The connector housings have board guides configured to engage the add-in cards and guide mating therewith. The connectors have latches configured to latchably engage the add-in cards to secure the connector to the add-in cards. The connector interposer electrically interconnects the first contacts and the second contacts.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly for a communication system includes a housing and a wafer assembly including a PCB terminated contact wafer and a cable terminated contact wafer arranged in a wafer stack. The PCB terminated contact wafer includes a first contact array having first signal contacts having mating portions and terminating ends for termination to a printed circuit board of the communication system. The cable terminated contact wafer includes a second contact array having second signal contacts and a second contact holder having a mating interface and holding terminating ends of the second signal contacts at the mating interface for electrically connection to a cable connector of a cable assembly.

Abstract: A flexible circuit connector includes a dielectric holder extending between a base mounted to a circuit board and a mating end mated with an electrical connector assembly. The dielectric holder has a first side and a second side with a first flexible circuit coupled to the first side and a second flexible circuit coupled to the second side. The flexible circuits each have a base edge extending to the base of the dielectric holder and a mating edge extending to the mating end of the dielectric holder. The flexible circuits each have signal conductors routed between the mating edge and the base edge and ground conductors providing electrical shielding for the signal conductors.

Abstract: An electrical bridge device includes a support bracket and a flex bridge subassembly. The support bracket includes a frame that extends axially between top and bottom ends of the support bracket. The flex bridge subassembly includes upper and lower carriers held in the frame at least proximate to the top and bottom ends, respectively. The flex bridge subassembly further includes an electrically conductive flex circuit strip coupled to and extending between the upper and lower carriers. The flex circuit strip electrically connects to a first connector on a host circuit board and a second connector on a mating circuit board to provide an electrical circuit path between the host circuit board and the mating circuit board. The upper carrier within the frame is floatable relative to the support bracket to allow the flex circuit strip to align with the second connector.
