摘要: Embodiments herein relate to a method in a mobile terminal for requesting access to a wireless communication system. The mobile terminal receives broadcasted system information directly indicating first access request preambles for a first contention based channel, and indirectly indicating second access request preambles for a second contention based channel based on the directly indicated first access request preambles. The mobile terminal further derives the second access request preambles from the first access request preambles. Additionally, the mobile terminal requests access using the second access request preambles or the first access request preambles to access the wireless communication system.

摘要: Base stations and Radio Network Controllers, RNCs, and methods in such devices are disclosed. A base station (18) sends access indications to a RNC (20) indicating assignments and/or releases of common uplink resources. The RNC (20) uses the access indications received from the base station (18) to differentiate between successive accesses on the common uplink resources by a same User Equipment, UE (22), and to correspondingly differentiate between the processing of given data frames from the UE (22) as belonging to one or other of the successive accesses.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a base transceiver station, node B, a method and a controlling Radio Network Controller, CRNC, for setting up common Enhanced Dedicated Channel, E-DCH, resources in a cellular network. In one embodiment, the node B is arranged to configure the common E-DCH resources comprising deciding at least one E-DCH Radio Network Transaction Identifier, E-RNTI, range for the common E-DCH resources, and to send the at least one E-RNTI range for the common E-DCH resources to a Controlling Radio Network Controller, CRNC. Thereby, the common E-DHC resources are set up.
